Excited about Houston Astros baseball next season

Next season, my favorite team, the Houston Astros, will switch to the American League and will play probably two sets of road games in Detroit at Comerica Field.

I should start saving money for that now since this will be the first time in about 24 years that I will have seen an Astros game. The last one was 1989 in the Astrodome when the Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies. Mike Scott (if you’re an Astros fan, he needs no introduction), pitched and got the win while Glenn Davis hit a home run.

And now, I’ll probably be the only orange-and-blue clad person at Comerica Field who will not be cheering for Detroit. Added to that will be that the Astros are heavily rumored to change back to blue and orange when they debut new uniforms next season.

Yes, I live in Michigan now, but I’m a firm believer that no matter where you live, you cheer for your favorite team.
