Kanye ‘The Conman’ West
No, I don’t believe for one nanosecond that Kanye West a) had too much “sippy sippy” when he made a jackass of himself by interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards and b) was sincere in his apology to Ms. Swift.
West is simply trying to do what Janet Jackson did during that alleged “wardrobe malfunction”–use a very classless, controversial action to draw lots of publicity towards oneself.
Even if it was the “sippy sippy”, here’s a simple solution, Kanye: if having too much to drink lowers your inhibitions and makes you say and do stupid things, then you need to “stoppy stoppy.”
I grew suspicious of his apology when Kanye initially said he apologized by saying he was sorry if anyone was offended. Then, on the The Jay Leno Show, he gave one that attempted to be genuine.
Today on the radio, they played a soundbyte of Kanye West being asked if he still believed former president George W. Bush “doesn’t care about black people” as West alleged during Hurricane Katrina fundraisers. West replied he doesn’t believe Bush “cares about anybody.”
How funny is it that pop star Pink, by no means a political conservative, even said that West is a “toolbox”.
Ironically, West could learn class from Beyonce, who when on stage for a later awards, invited Swift to “have her moment.”
