R.I.P., Karl Malden

Sadly, the biggest thing some people will remember about Karl Malden and his passing will be his large, bulbous nose. He was also a great actor who lived to the ripe old age of 97. I also remember, as a young ’un in the late 1970s, those American Express commercials he did. You remember: someone loses a huge amount of cash and has their vacation ruined (no, the culprit wasn’t Bernie Madoff). Mr. Malden shows up in a suit and fedora, stern but concerned, saying they should’ve carried Traveler’s Cheques. “Don’t leave home without them!” he says.

R.I.P., Mladen Sekulovich.
