Michigan’s unemployment rate at 12.9% for April

It’s said to be the highest mark in more than 25 years.

Soon, you’ll probably see bumper stickers that say, “Don’t blame me: I DIDN’T vote for Governor Jennifer Granholm.”

It’s a complicated issue, no doubt, but when a state creates a business-unfriendly environment, can they really be surprised by the loss of jobs? How many businesses have left Michigan because it’s easier to operate elsewhere?

Makes me wonder if Dick DeVos plans to run again in 2010. I liked his pro-business attitude.
