Houston Astros update

The Houston Astros are now 9-12 on the season, courtesy of a three-game winning streak. Yes, they’re still in last place in the N.L. Central, but perhaps that can change. Last night, WandyRodriguez pitched seven strong innings as the Astros–for once–scored runs for him enroute to an 8-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Park–a place Houston (and Lance Berkman in particular) has had lots of success. Wandy gave up five hits and one run, evening his record to 2-2 with a season ERA of 1.69. Catcher Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez added his third home run of the season for Houston.

Alas, Berkman’s off to a slow start. He’s hitting .164 on the season.

Long ways to go in the season…
