Sarah Palin and Oprah

Oprah Winfrey has said she won’t have Sarah Palin on her show since she has said doesn’t want to use her show as a platform for any of the candidates. After all, she’s already decided whom she’ll vote for. Winfrey has said that she’d love to have Palin on her show after the campaign.

I’d love to see McCain and Palin win and for Palin to tell Winfrey, “No thanks. I have too much work to do. Between being vice president, wife and hockey mom, I don’t have time for your show. Besides, I never really watched it anyway.”

You are right, it would be nice for Palin to tell Oprah that. I thought the Oprah show was about informing viewers of different things and stories, not a Political platform to only push one side. If Oprah was fair she would invite Palin on before the election and let her viewers make up their own minds about her. She obviously is afraid that Palin will become very likable, and that most Oprah viewers will relate to her as a normal, regular Woman just like themselves. That of course would mean many viewers might end up voting for McCain instead of Obama.

My wife, a long time Oprah viewer and supporter is upset about her decision, and isn’t likely to watch her show anymore.
